Justice according to Imam Aliʹs thoughts and actions

Abstract

In discussing justice, this paper first and foremost, analyzes the the word of justice, then deals with the concept of justice and its importance from the point of view of Islam and the holy Quran. In the same way , in a special outlook towards equality, Iman Aliʹs conduct shall be discussed and it will be shown that Imam Aliʹs concern about equality in terms of peopleʹs rights was of the highest degree. Alongside these, we have paid attention to the reasons and backgrounds of lack of justice and tried to show that unjust conduct have sometimes been due to a lack of interest in this concept on behalf of the people in society. Then the results of oppression and the negligance of justice are discussed. In the remainder of the paper, Imam Aliʹs justice and the way in which he has been considred as a "righteous leader" in the verses of the Holy Quran and a symbol of resistance against unjust ice are discussed. Accordingly Imam Khomeiniʹs ideas concerning Imam Aliʹs justice in speech and action have also been used. Imam Aliʹs was also much concerned about social justice and the fulfiement of peopleʹs rights and along the same lines he was strictly. Observant of social and economic justice, which had a very close-kint relation to each other. In conclusion , Imam Aliʹs justice in dividing the "Beit - al - mal" and his server strictness concerning even the smallest object, and the fact that in many case he even overlooked his own rights, are portrayed in this paper. It is noteworthy that the most prominent attraction of Imam Aliʹs justice were his political and economic observance of justice which are also greatly mentioned in most of the Nahj-Al-Balaghah speeches.
